Day 9 – A song that makes me hopeful.

I had a tough time with this one since hopeful isn’t something I generally feel. There are songs that make me feel better and songs that make me not feel so alone, but I can’t really think of any songs that give me hope.

This is a pretty messed up world. Sometimes, the best we can do is look outside ourselves, see the beauty all around us and realize that it’s bigger than just you and me.

I see trees of green, red roses, too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They’re really saying I love you.

I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
They’ll learn much more than I’ll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes, I think to myself what a wonderful world
